today, the epa announced california (along with 16 other sates) won’t be allowed to make their own laws governing greenhouse gas emissions, because “the bush administration is moving forward with a clear national solution, not a confusing patchwork of state rules.”

the governator immediately screamed “we’re gonna sue your federal asses off!”  well, probably not in those exact words, but damn close.   “It’s another example of the administration’s failure to treat global warming with the seriousness that it actually demands.”  it sounds like his intent is to sue to get california’s control back.

“Now his career hangs in the balance. Everyone is up in arms – it is a disgusting way to treat a member of staff.”

don imus, after having the proverbial plug pulled on him 8 months ago, debuted on the air again today.  after his “nappy headed ho” remark 234 days ago, CBS and MSNBC fired him.

this time, he’s back with a new cast, and 2 black comedians to boot.  time will tell if “imus in the morning” will actually be a different program than it was in the past, but it’s cool that he gets the chance.

i’m a big boy, i can take it.

where i come from, we don’t do the politically correct thing.  nope, not at all.   we say shit like “merry christmas” instead of that feel good crap “happy holidays” or “seasons greetings”.  since it’s the beginning of the christmas season, thought i’d share.
